Make This: Paper Flower Sacks + Lexy's (Surprise) Virtual Baby Shower
My friend Lexy from The Proper Pinwheel is having her first baby in but a few months. And since she lives so far away, and we aren't able to do this in person, Kelly of Studio DIY and I decided to throw her a (surprise) virtual infant shower today, forth with a whole agglomeration of blog friends. Kelly, myself, and a handful of other bloggers are all sharing baby/ baby shower related DIYs today to celebrate.
Lexy, if you're reading this…SURPRISE!! We are all then happy for you and cannot wait to encounter BG-dub'south little confront when she is built-in! And FYI… I tin't really have credit for this- it was all Kelly's idea.
Over the final yr, I've gotten to know Lexy every bit one of the coolest, funniest, dance machines I've ever met (did you see this girl interruption it downwardly at the Alt party in January? It was intense.). But I'm really looking frontward to seeing her as a mom. That baby is going to have some serious trip the light fantastic moves!
So…..To gloat Lexy's footling bundle of joy, I have a SUPER easy DIY that volition work for pretty much whatsoever occasion. Babe shower or non. And (bonus!) information technology can be made at the very terminal minute and notwithstanding presents itself as a thoughtful gift: brand a paper blossom sack, complete with a handwritten notes.
Materials Needed: small-scale kraft paper bags, a small cup or vase that volition fit inside the handbag, fresh flowers, and Aquacolor wax crayons (I like these in detail because they are highly pigmented and write really smoothly on paper – y'all can become them here)
To make these, all you have to do is pick up some fresh flowers.I happen to have some beautiful blooms leftover from my last shoot for Flower Muse (which I'll exist sharing adjacent week), but you could of course option up some flowers from your local flower shop if you're really short on time. Then write a little bulletin on the paper bag. Add water to a small loving cup or vase. Cut flowers downwardly to size and accommodate in container. So stick the container inside the newspaper sack and you are good to go.
These make smashing final-minute gifts for almost any occasion – birthdays, housewarming parties, babe and wedding showers, and equally a 'but because' gift. AND if you're hosting a party, you lot can besides use these paper flower sacks every bit favors for guests to take with them at the stop of the outcome.
